Privacy Policy

The short version: Bless collects no data. None. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no ads, no tracking, and no servers of our own. Everything you do in Bless stays on your device.
What we collect
Nothing. Bless is built to run entirely on your device. The app does not require an account, does not ask for your name or email, and does not send your activity anywhere. We have no servers that receive data from the app, and we use no third-party analytics or advertising frameworks.
What stays on your device
Everything the app remembers about you is stored locally on your iPhone and never transmitted to us:
- Verses you save and mark "Amen"
- Private notes you write
- Your reading history and streaks
- Your settings (translation choice, reminders, haptics, and similar preferences)
If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it. Standard iOS device backups (iCloud or computer backups) may include the app's data like any other app; those backups are governed by Apple's privacy practices and your own backup settings.
On-device intelligence
Some study features in Bless are written by Apple's on-device language model (Apple Intelligence). This processing happens on your iPhone. The verses you study and the notes generated for them are not sent to us or to any third party by the app.
Purchases
Bless Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. We do not receive your name, payment details, or billing information. Payment, renewal, and refunds are handled by Apple and governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. The app checks your subscription status through Apple's StoreKit framework on your device.
Notifications
If you enable the daily verse reminder, the notification is scheduled locally on your device. We do not use push notification servers and cannot see whether or when you receive reminders.
Links to other sites
Bless links to external websites for source material — for example the Catechism on vatican.va and manuscript texts on tanach.us and stepbible.org. When you follow such a link, you leave the app and those sites' own privacy policies apply.
Children
Because Bless collects no personal information from anyone, it collects no personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of Bless ever changes what data is handled — for example, if we add an optional sync feature — we will update this policy and note the change in the app's release notes before it takes effect.
